I think to make use of that width we could make the actual content width just a little bigger (like 700px or something) and then have a vertical banner along with vertical navigation on the left of the posts, so basically everything normally on the top ( "Hey, [you], you have x messages, etc" / "forum/profile/messages/etc" / "Boyah Forums  |  General  |  The Lobby" ) all of that could be on the left, and/or perhaps links to every board for quick navigation
also bumping the text size up just one point would be alright

this should be a special theme for those that want it

we aren't theme designers who ever change more than basic CSS and a few of the image resources, so it's a matter of finding and installing a completely different theme

well i wasn't saying you or thyme should do it, i'm talking about either an actual boyah theme or perhaps some kind of script that could do this, similar to the oneechan theme for 4chan
