Most of the time because I'm usually using quick reply. Some times if I'll making a longer post or know I'll be using a lot of tags I'll use the buttons

generally i can type them out much faster than it'd take if i went into the normal post form and moved my cursor up to the buttons. because i'm not a slow-ass typist.
