13th Floor Elevators are the only really great classic (american) psychedelic rock band I can think of

I haven't downloaded anything new in a couple weeks and it's gettingbad

sun city girls
a mountain of one (this band sucks lmao)
magic lantern
lumerians
forest swords
electric moon
the machine

there's other cool bands but i don't listen to them

I don't think "psychedelic rock" really exists anymore, at least not as a specific thing like it used to ..

I really like Tame Impala but they do get critiques for sounding too 60s or trying to emulate Lennon so just ignore me perhaps 5thgrade;

they are one of the coolest bands.

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

i probably have a wrong idea of "psychedelic" but the black angels are pretty good, and there is this other band called Psychic Ills that released an album last year that I really enjoyed

Boogus Epirus Aurelius

Listen to the heads.
They're from the nineteen90's.

Yeah I wouldn't normally throw them out there if someone listened to psych rock regularly girl;

I would basically just listen to anything silvertone lists because he knows his stuff :O I'm probably going to steal a bunch of bands from this thread too

Samus Aran

good psych rock does exist

the problem is that 99.9384053% of bands try to emulate 60s bands and it all sounds like the same shit

but when you find good psych rock, it's really good

classic band emulation (or just tribute/celebration) can sound amazing when done right
