I don't really like playing anywhere but at home and I'd rather play a console game. So I barely touch my DS / PSP. I even have 2 new games I haven't touched for the PSP, Persona 3 and Monster Hunter.

I also have a lot of trouble playing handhelds. Sometimes I'll get sucked into a game enough to just ignore my consoles for a bit, but usually I just can't play a handheld for an extended period unless I'm like out of the house or something.

I've somewhat countered this problem recently by acquiring a Super Game Boy and Game Boy Player, but this still leaves my DS games, some of which I've hardly touched...like Rocket Slime and Pokemon White.

fucking love them.  i barely play consoles, i haven't touched my wii in a long time.  handhelds are just grab em, power on, then play-   just almost anywhere.  i love having my pokemon in my pocket 

spotpass in my 3ds just makes me want to bring it everywhere with me even more.  i have like 45-50 people in my spotpass lounge

Hm, I guess I don't mind them.  I would say they're better for road trips/long distance travelling in general than playing on a bus/inter-city train ride and/or using out in 'public'.

i never use them for what they're really designed for (playing in public ), but i treat them like any standard console in that i play them (at home) for the games lol

on this note, i wish more games released on portables were geared to microplay i.e. playtime less than 30 minutes

I like my DSs and PSPs. I mainly use them for car rides anymore (I've got a 12 hours car ride coming up next month, so I'll be playing MGS3D then). Occasionally I'll play online in MK7, but other than that, I rarely play mine inside.
