he still went to college for it didn't he. just learn what you want then drop out. the only need for art college is to build up contacts w/ other ppl so you can take advantage of their Friendliness to progress your own career

but pretty much no major artist actually graduated with an art degree

and it seems like a good number left college because they were bored

the point is that majoring and graduating with an art degree means nothing because the degree will get your nowhere. in any field knowing people is the most important thing but with sciences you're given more flexibility
