the science section was bullshit
I also have a 29 composite score on the ACT and I agree with this
but I took the SAT too and have better scores on it

I want to learn and have skills that I can apply to my hobbies and life as a whole. My main concern wasn't getting a job, but my interests coincidentally overlapped with a high-paying career. And I've already learned an assload and begun to apply it so I'm satisfied.
I agree with this too. Among CS majors I've seen, this opinion usually seems to be the distinction between great and terrible students n_u

How similar would you say we are?
How would you say you compare to the other students in your major at your school?
Do you have any interest in working on a project together with me?
Do you have a list of specific CS topics you intend to learn soon?
What are some of your current favorite languages and platforms to program with?
About how much time do you tend to spend lately socializing or with your girlfriend?

Not much. We both like programming but our areas of interest are pretty much complete opposites. [glow=black,2,300]But I still think you're one of the five coolest people here[/glow]

I think a good 2/3 of CS majors here are like me in that they just really, really love programming and technology and love understanding how everything works. Some people are there just for the jobs, and it's obvious when they complain about assignments being too hard. I think all the assignments are fun.

[glow=black,2,300]YES.[/glow] You're the only person here who I could trust to actually finish a job, and there's also the fact that you know what you're doing.

Not so much CS specifically (mostly linear algebra I'd suppose), but object collision and proper handling of it is something I'm extremely interested in. Every single game out there has some sort of bug involving things going through walls or moving strangely around corners and it's something I always fiddle with in my games. Even if you can perfectly detect a collision, how do you respond to it? Do you want to respond to it the same way every time? There's also the fact that accurate collision handling is slow and you have to take shortcuts and it becomes an interesting problem. befuddlement

also i'm becoming interested in image data manipulation (and recently spent some time fiddling with graphical effects in my game) and i'd like to get into sound manipulation but i don't even know where to begin with that

Javascript is my absolute favorite. It's extremely flexible and I really can't complain about the language at all. It just sucks that it's restrained to browsers.

When I'm at home, we talk about 1-2 hours a day. At school, the only time we're apart is when we're going to the bathroom or going to class. And I'm moving into an apartment with her in a couple of weeks so [spoiler]we'll probably even share bathroom time[/spoiler]

One problem was that it had the smallest amount of time given. 20 or 25 minutes I think.

Another problem was that there were about 30 questions, meaning you had to solve these questions pretty quickly.

The third problem was that I was given these convoluted charts that gave about four types of data on one diagram and you constantly had to look back at what each item represented and how you converted the data to what they were looking for.

It wasn't necessarily difficult, but they didn't give you anywhere near enough time. akudood;
