anime always depicts us as handsome blond gods, but it seems like a lot of asians actually hate us

and how easy is it to get by with just a basic understanding of japanese? i took two years of it but i still feel like i'd be completely lost if i went to japan

i am not sure, it is variable. most of old people will hate american people e.g. my grandmother. but i think most of japan accepts americans. i love americans

it will be ok if you try to speaking it, people will see you are american they will understand. this is what i have done in UK so far.

November 2011, I will maybe return next year summer
There is fishing, but not very much camping and no hunting.
