What were the schools in Japan like? Did you wear a uniform, what was the architecture like, the routine and feel of it? And did you have an elementary school crush? If so, what was her name?

there is not uniform after high school
most of the  buildings is rectangular and flat roof
i dont know how to say so i will compare to school in UK, there is more of routine in japanese school than in the english school. i feel the school in UK is very carefree.

how much do japanese people actually like us beikokujin

anime always depicts us as handsome blond gods, but it seems like a lot of asians actually hate us

and how easy is it to get by with just a basic understanding of japanese? i took two years of it but i still feel like i'd be completely lost if i went to japan

i am not sure, it is variable. most of old people will hate american people e.g. my grandmother. but i think most of japan accepts americans. i love americans

it will be ok if you try to speaking it, people will see you are american they will understand. this is what i have done in UK so far.

November 2011, I will maybe return next year summer
There is fishing, but not very much camping and no hunting.
