at this rate, i'll be finished with this playthrough in about 2/3 the time it took me originally, and that's despite the fact that i'm collecting every single item and killing (or just losing) every lizard and doing all tendency events this time around

No, unfortunately, and I tried three times to get a human invader rather than the boring AI phantom. It doesn't seem like there are too many people invading these days.

i hate black phantom selen vinland more than any of the others, since you have to fight her in 5-2 and she'll run away into the swamp to heal. where you can't run.

"legit" in the sense that i didn't go begging strangers for them online, yes lol

but i did use a bit of an exploit that (like virtually every other souls glitch) takes advantage of certain gaps in the game's saving patterns

basically if you're extremely careful, you can kill a crystal lizard and check to see what it's dropped without the game autosaving the lizard's death

if it turns out not to be the item you're looking for, you can quit the game through the psn menu and try again, and repeat as many times as it takes before it drops the needed item

that's what i did

and i sure wish i had known about it earlier lol
