Despite not having a chat thread, activity has not declined. It hasn't exactly blossomed, but I think we've shown that we can do fine without it. People are actually posting more threads, and we actually haven't had an increase in shitty threads, pretty much the same amount as usual actually.

So good job guys, keep it up. But when the chat thread comes back, combine this with the activity created by that thread, seriously.

Give yourselves a pat on the back. Or a couple of them. Myself, I prefer the "seal of approval" from my old D.A.R.E. classes in elementary school, in which I clap and make seal noises for myself.

I think activity in other threads have increased a bit but it doesn't seem like as much activity as the chat thread would get

Look at the stats for yourself. The chat thread didn't give us any advantage. I think only a few days in the past year has the chat thread genuinely been really, really active.
