Week Without a Chat Thread Report #1

You know when you pop a huge zit and there's globules of icky everywhere and you're like ICKY and you're getting it off but then you need to keep pressing on the zit until it's all out and THEN you feel better and hey your skin starts to clear up?

YES.
Usually whenever I pop them a small bit comes out but that is only the beginning.
I usually can tell when I'm done when it explodes out of my face and then it heals fast, usually around 3-4 hours.

I don't think it works like that. People post about the same amount each day because that's just what they do. I have my 1-2 things to share a day and whether they're going in the chat thread or in their own spammy thread, I will say them dammit. And then I reply to the threads that pertain to my interests.

The chat thread isn't exactly necessary, but I think getting rid of it just promotes shitty topics. Having 50 shitty topics instead of a chat thread with 50 shitty posts is not better. At all. I mean, I know this is just an experiment, but I think it's dumb as shit. I don't think we can say "post this much PLUS what you posted before in the chat thread." because it will not happen.

Activity wasn't affected, the point is that no one comes here because we have like 30 active members, thus activity is just naturally lower than expected. I know I come here half as much as I used to because no one is usually on.
We don't need a chat thread, people just post random shit in there anyway. Have something to discuss, make a thread about it, people contribute to the thread, etc. etc.
