America is a land of immigrants, a mixing of cultures. I don't think the point of moving someplace new is to entirely forget your old culture, or to alienate any other culture besides the one that surrounds you. That's ridiculous and mildly xenophobic.

It's extremely ignorant of the immigrants to move into a country as if it's just a piece of free land for refugees. There's nothing wrong with the practice of different cultures, it's just tremendously important that they learn English during their stay. The ability for society to function requires humans to effectively communicate with each other.

It just won't work if everyone wants to speak a different language, and straying from the very language that our constitution was wrote in and justifying it just by the fact that America is a mix of multiple cultures is completely absurd.
