why so they can be happy
who cares what they do...

It's like hey, I have this extra four dollars. Should I get this ice cream cone or should I help a brother out?

Buy the ice cream cone. You'll help a brother out far more by allowing him to solve his own problems rather than helping him stay down.

well first off that sounds like a ridiculous price for an ice cream cone so i wouldn't advise that  akudood;

secondly yeah i'm sure they can just pull themselves up by the bootstraps  baddood;

homeless people don't deserve my money.
it's their own faults they are in that situation anyways.

well adults do.
maybe if they finished high school and went onto college they would have a job and a house.
or maybe if they didn't do hardcore drugs then they wouldn't be in that situation.
it's different in a child's situation.

or maybe they did have a job and then the company they worked at had to close down and they lost their house.
or maybe their mother got sick and the medical bills required them to get a second mortgage on their house, which in turn caused them to lose the house.

or maybe they are one of the thousands of veterans of the vietnam war who ended up homeless after they came back.

maybe if they had a college diploma then they could get a new job.
it's like all the factory jobs that are pretty much shutting down.
and you don't even need a high school diploma to get one.

maybe they should move to canada so they have free health care.

and why can't they just ask the government for money.
and why didn't they get a job when they came back?

except for the fact that pretty much the entire u.s. economy. banks and our auto industry, etc. is failing

and because of this, the people who do have college degrees can't get a job since these jobs are being lost too.

how does it change the fact that it's not their fault.

Quoteand why can't they just ask the government for money.
i'm pretty sure they did. unfortunately fiscal conservatives don't have a problem with declaring war and sending people over, but once they need support "we ain't no commies'

also people refused to higher them because they were "baby killers", and a plenty of other reasons resulting in being fucked up by what they saw in vietnam.

lol what baby killers.
and it's POST traumatic stress disorder.
and how does it stop you from working.
well if these people were motivated they wouldn't be homeless.

Don't buy the ice cream cone, duh.

If somebody is going to get drunk, let them drink. You're not being the enabler - you're just trying to do the right thing. It's not helping him "stay down" what is down?
the book of right on

did you learn about the vietnam war in canada or will i have to explain it so you understand. akudood;

Quoteand it's POST traumatic stress disorder.
oh yeah, once you see children torn apart by claymores, deformed by agent orange, your best friend's internal organs, and being shot at won't have any lasting effects. akudood;

flashbacks, constant fear, mental instability, etc.

if you can't function after coming back from a war and no one will hire you, motivation alone won't do shit.

Oh

 Once gave $2 to this jamaican guy only because I was scared he was going to rob me.  akudood;
