I can swim, but not very well.

I found this out during the summer. Me and a friend were swimming across a lake, and it turned out I couldn't make it across. It's not that I didn't have enough stamina, I just didn't seem to float well after while, and I panicked. As we were about half way across I called for him to come help me, and the struggle proceeded.
He came to me and tried to grab a limb and pull me, but I was panicking like a bitch and I went under probably about 5 feet and swallowed a shit load of water. The water is about 20 feet by my estimate at this point. I kept grabbing at his limbs, trying to get some sort of feeling of safety. At one point I grabbed his shoulders and pulled myself above water for a short breath of air, then he swam out from under me and left me to figure it out myself.
Turns out I float quite well on my back. I did the back stroke the rest of the way.
Once I got to the other side, my muscles hurt like I've never felt before, and I had the most intense headache I'd ever experienced.

Then while I was driving everyone home some jackass nearly ran me off the road. argh;

when we went to cocoa beach in florida i thought i felt a jellyfish on my leg so i freaked out and screamed and then a wave came and i drowned and swallowed a lot of saltwater and then i was like .000000001% away from puking. ^________^

I can swim.

Not that you'd need to. You'd just float. giggle;

I speak from experience. :(

Anyway, yeah, I can swim. I just need to put some more effort into it, I'm not as buoyey as I used to be.

I'm pretty good at swimming, too. :3

the shortest route to the sea

I have a swimmer's build, I have good speed and decent endurance, my father's a serious swimmer, but I don't go to the pool that often. It's probably the only sport I don't mind doing seriously, too.  O_0

pompous talk for my eyes water and quiver with a twitch like a little bitch

Selkie

the act of swimming is really just controlled flailing so I don't really see why it would even take practice.

lol why
I never go to the pool often enough.

Also, I can't ride a bike, because I never owned one.
