I have a PC running Ubuntu and it keeps freezing.

Both windows and Ubuntu seem to think the harddrive only has 30GB when it's a 160GB harddrive.


Why is it freezing and why aren't they displaying the right harddrive size?  :(

hard drive is likely because it's formatted as FAT32, which will not make use of anything larger than 32gb.
It's formatted as EXT3 though it was just an overwrite of the Windows Partition which may have been FAT32.

fat32 only supports 32 gigabytes as it says in its name so maybe you have some crazy lost partition out there befuddlement
