My grandma was talking to me about how her friend named her children 'hooker names' so I asked what they were and she said "Scarlet and Pearl"

And then I decided that's the coolest thing ever and I want to meet her friend.

I just started reading Anthem, I am 36 pages in, I can already tell I will love it more than I love The Fountainhead. I am very excited to get back to it, but I felt the need to say something about how I already love this book. Ayn Rand is amazing.

I finished it a little bit ago and it's mine too. It's so funny, after reading Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead and then reading about her philosophy she is a lot less subtle in Anthem. I remember once in the Fountainhead Peter asking Dominique where her "I" was but then in Anthem that chapter that opens with him using 'I' instead of 'We' and the last word being what it is (and how important the ego is in all of her writing)

It was really fantastic.
