Texting is so lame, IMing is much better.

The only plus is that it's more accessible, but still.. just have a real phone convo lol

Well look's like you should have kept it on Airplane mode. I went to Peru with my iPhone and came back. My bill was still only $89

the individual iphone plans suck

The original plan sucks. I added 500 SMS, and it is very inexpensive for me. But The only reason I turned off Airplane mode in other countries is to get Wi-Fi. but during those time periods I did not get billed at all. Have no idea why.

No, when I was in Peru (before jailbreaking). I opened up my Settings and say that I was able to change my service. I didn't do it, but I was able to.
