What the fuck, my mom just called me because she got the phone bill and it was over $1000 because of international data roaming. WHAT THE FUCK?

I'm calling them about this.

It's been noted several times by iPhone users who use it overseas that you'll get an insane bill. If I remember correctly the best thing to do is to turn off EDGE whilst overseas.

Wrench

Over 1000 is ridiculous.

You better at least get that divided by 10.  baddood;

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

someone post the video of the 100 page phone bill or whatever it was.

It's only logical that a device that tries to load a web page like it would on a computer uses a shitload of data, and it's only logical to know that roaming costs a shitload.

It would've been cheaper to unlock the thing and use it on a European carrier.

the bitch just texted too much and each one got listed

would've been the same on any other phone or carrier that lists text messages, she's just trying to spread her hippie propaganda of e-billing

Yes. I think Orange's service is like 49,00€ per month for the iPhone, I'm not sure though.

Yep.

Even if he bitches, he's stuck with the costs; it's his own fault.

I don't get why they offer BlackBerry users a $70/month plan for international data use, and I don't even get an offer for a plan halfway through the trip when my bill is going up. They didn't even call me to let me know how big my bill was getting... you can't say that AT&T aren't assholes, and also I didn't figure international data would be any more than it is on plans for other phones, which is like $.005/kb or something.

This makes all those, I'm in France threads priceless, well not for you, but for us at least.

What's an extra 500 to what you were paying before? As an off hand topic, your mother reacted rather mildly, I would have been sold by my parents if my phone bill was ever that high.
