You need to watch some online matches then. Dood shit is crazy. Items  like bananas make all the difference. Missing a MT can mean the race, especially if your opponent can PRB.
Look on youtube for anything on TB1, ZGhetto, Fabian DeSilva, and even the early legend Dr. House.
Snaking is what made the game for me.
Guarantee that some techinique will be figure out to make the game faster.

I have seen videos with insane snakers. But again, items come into play as always. A blue shell can cost you the match in a normal game, or even a banana peel at the last second. I just honestly don't see the upperhand you get while racing against other snakers. Sure it makes the game faster but at what cost? Your thumb.

Its addicting. It was like "Dude! I can win every match against kids that suck and have intense races against my friends.
Its always first to fuck up loses.

Don't get me wrong. I used to snake a lot in Mario Kart DS and used to back up how it was put in the game. But after a while you realize how annoying it is.

OR you don't act like a little pussy bitch and play the game. Seriously though, I like snaking, and I'll defend it, but is it really worth a whole thread for "i hate snaking lol" in the first place? I mean, whatev, you don't like snaking, cool. But I personally do. Whenever I play my pals, I'm always a lap ahead of them, and they go "I just hit you with a blue shell wtf" And I go "snaking haha"

lol

I didn't make this thread because I hate snaking. Far from it, I do it myself to keep up with the competition. But I prefer to not have to snake. I made this thread because it was about info in Mario Kart Wii.

Are there any games that you actually have knowledge about?
What shitty Nintendo games?

Listen guys, mkds, you're racing, and you get a blue shell. Suddenly you're now 3rd in place, but since you're so skilled at snaking, and you took the time to learn how to, you've got an upper hand. I don't get why people don't like snaking. It's just as much a strategy as using items are.

Items and snaking were/are apart of the game, if you take out snaking, all you have is a game where you have to leave it up to chance of getting good items to win. Where's the skill in that? There is no skill, it just becomes a game not worth playing.

I learned how to snake, just like everyone else did. If there's no learning curve, and advanced techniques to play, then it's not mario kart, and it'll end up in turn becoming repetitive. No snaking means all you're left with are the bikes, karts, and items. I hope they work in a way for you to actually become good at the game, and not just let you be at the mercy of everyone behind you.

So now the Mario Kart series turns away from pure technical skill into a more strategy oriented environment. Can you complete the algorithm to find the optimal item output to track rank ratio with enough time to execute your daring plan in just three laps?? (Variance in lap number does exist.)

What's next, turn-based Mario Kart?  baddood;
