I guess it'd be a Mac Pro with all the specs maxed out.

Title27GT

I have enough money for an 8-core Mac Pro with 16 Gigabytes of RAM, but I wanted a laptop and the MacBook Pro's are horribly ugly and unportable

I thought your dad bought your macbook for you.

Lulz at all the Mac Pros   pseudo;

Mac Pros suck, especially for their price.   burned;

And you won't be gaming on one them, due to lack of GPU power, and they have way too much CPU power for any user, unless you actually need a workstation to run CUDA or something.

And its not future proof really, by the time you need that CPU power, those Xeons will be obsolete because everything will use SSE4 or SSE5 or whatever.

Most new Mac users don't know how to quit apps. READ: They'll need those eight cores.

Also, not everyone plays shitty games like Crysis.

You wouldn't be running Vista, then.

Why not? It's usable, most problems can now be blamed on AMD and/or Creative.

The artist formally known

600gb or so
2+gbs of ram
8800 or so gfx card with dual dvi outputs
way more usbs than i'll ever need
5.1 sound card
blah blah blah
processor able to run mac os just in case i wanted to

it'll cost about $1000 but after x-mas I'm going to save up for it, getting a job the day I turn 18

They have too much CPU power for any normal user.   psyduck;

And if you're buying a workstation, a Mac Pro is way too expensive, especially for the bare minimum specs.
7300 and 1gb of RAM?  On a Workstation?  For $2500?
And on top of that, upgrading to a Quadro GPU on a Mac Pro is twice the normal price, and the same with more RAM.

Blaze-Senpai

Probably something I won't use past 33% of its full power.
