What would it be?

For me I would get the MacBook Pro.  :)

It's such an awesome notebook...It can run Windows Vista and Mac OSX.

Specs and stuff: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/

It'd be a custom-built IBM-style or whatever you call it. The kind of computer that runs Windows and Linux and whatever psyduck;

8GB of RAM or whatever other maximum there is
Intel Quad Core CPU
Like four HDDs each 500gig or so
Dual-boot Windows XP Pro and Vista Ultimate (or whatever they call that highest version)
A PCI-e video card with S-vid and 15-pin D-sub outputs (maybe component if there is any). Dunno what specs
A TV-capture card that supports S-video, composite video, and YPbPr Component Video. 30+ FPS and real-time capture.
Two identical LCDs each with max resolution of like at least 1280x1024, not widescreen, and only like 16" or so.
Wireless B, G, and N PCI card.
Two DVD+RW drives
Flash card adapter for things like SD

A Mac Book Pro with 1000 TB hardrive, 50 GBs of RAM, some really good graphics card that I wouldn't even know how to use, and some shiny stuff on the outside.

Although with all the video footage I have been filming 1000 TBs would be nice......

For a laptop, a Macbook Pro.

For a desktop, I'd build my own. Although I'd be torn between AMD and NVidia for the video card. NVidia will have SLi and more power, but with AMD I can expect open-source video drivers on Linux.
