I don't think so, anything but characters, bosses, and final smashes usually sucks.

This final smash sucked because it should have been Metal Gear.

Christ, I'm hating the idea of final smashes more and more every time a new one gets updated. I'm turning those fucking smash balls off in the item switch every time I play a VS game.

But Sakurai updated Melee's site after release, to update unlockables. and in his journal he states he'll eventually reveal ALL unlockables.
