I learned a lot by not having much of a social life. I'm instinctively curious, which is probably why I like history so much. I ponder just about everything and that's what changed my religious beliefs. My friend, on the other hand, didn't really think much about why he believed in god until he went on an acid trip. First thought of this makes me feel pretty boss, but second though makes me feel like a pathetic douche.

Also, I do not know how to interpret "well that's encouraging".

I think I like being alone because I've never had many friends, and so I got used to it, learned to adapt and enjoy. But I can see how if you had friends and then didn't, you wouldn't like being alone.
