I watched Punch Drunk Love

weird movie. bizarre pacing, incredibly slow at the beginning and you don't really develop a connection with the characters until the  very end and you get sucked in then boom credits. Sandler is not a good actor at all. The girl what plays his sister is bad too. They both give their line under some robot spell. Sandler's gf in the movie is good, as well as Phillip Seymore Hoffman but you'd be hard pressed to find a movie he doesn't deliver in.

so yeah i am glad i wATched it but idk if i would watch it again.

the hobit

i'm kind of annoying that it's going to be a trilogy after watching it. maybe it could have a sequel, but i think that they are milking it way too much. the movie was good but i thought that a lot of the new content was stupid. it was pretty too.

it's more or less a straight adaptation of quest of erebor which is an expanded edition of the hobbit that tolkien himself wrote. very little is actually "new." it's pretty much just the extra sub-story with the white orc still being alive that's new.

i honestly really hate that about some movies. like i get when a moment is supposed to be quiet. people are talking with normal inside voices. it's probably a poignant scene with poignant dialogue. but i have to turn it up really high to hear what they're saying. and then suddenly GUNFIRE SO LOUD IT SHAKES MY ROOM HOLY SHIT WHERE'S THE FUCKING REMOTE AHHHH

oh so yeah the other day i watched The Godfather Part III and it was really underwhelming and i didn't like sofia coppola's performance at all and the ending was shoddy

and the whole thing just felt so unnecessary, like why should i care about this young upstart and why is michael corleone so boring now i don't really need to see him get old

pointless epilogue film, still good though
