Has some cool cards, Blightning is so far my favorite non-rare/mythic. Pretty powerful

Too bad The Rack is rotating out.

Nyerp

it's like snorkel's warhammer or bassir's iphones

CARES
j/k ilu giggle;
Daphnia

I CARE

Also, Blightning does not impress me. I'd rather play Stupor.

Also, ilu Knight of the White Orchid cjlubdoods;

Also, Fatestitcher, Hindering Light, Stewart of Valeron, and Quaisali Ambusher. <333

Also, I just made the most awesome pump Cephalid Constable/Spawnwrithe/Cold-Eyed Selkie deck. Briarhorn is so awesome.

I don't think Stupor is good just because it's random. Maybe if you're not playing black/red.

The Rack is out of standard so Blightning doesn't exactly have a home in Standard. The new charm that is instant speed draw 2 cards is very very very very awesome.

Do you play online with Magic Workshop? If so play me, I've been playing a Doran deck, post rotation but no Alara cards in it.

I dunno, most of the time, the 3 damage won't make a difference, and I'd rather have the chance of taking something they need. Then again, if I was playing discard without rack, then I'd need all the help I could get and would probably run both. Though, I like Raven's Crime best out of the discard spells available.

Esper Charm makes me squeeeeeeee!

MWS isn't available on OS X. I use Lackey, which is cross platform.

Daphnia

Ughhhh. I just realized Wall of Roots and Pendelhaven will be gone soon. gonk;

Raven's Crime just seems so unfair.

Daphnia

omg ok so I made a decklist with the idea you had.

24 Lands

4x Fetid Heath
4x Mystic Gate
2x Plains (I am not a fan of half my lands coming into play tapped)
4x Reflecting Pool
2x Secluded Glen (too many filter lands)
2x Sunken Ruins
2x Swamp (see plains)
4x Vivid Meadow (need white. Wrath and Finks are important to live through aggro)

3x Kitchen Finks (fourth in sideboard, probably)
3x Oona's Prowler
4x Merfolk Looter
4x Mind Stone (tried it first without this, but the acceleration helps quite a bit)
3x Wrath of God (will probably end up making it 4)
4x Makeshift Mannequin
2x Corpse Connoisseur
4x Shriekmaw (also important for stalling. Seemed like the games I didn't draw one, I ended up losing)
2x Empyrial Archangel (one, and it seemed like I never drew it enough for discarding. three, and I always had multiple copies, which isn't bad, but I'd rather be drawing more removal. Though, if you upped Corpse Connoisseur to 4, one would probably be good. But then you're waiting till turn 6 before you get the angel into play)
3x Mulldrifter (seemed like enough for me with Mannequins)
4x Thoughtsieze ( I tried using Tidehollow Sculler instead, but it felt like I was always dancing around it on my tip-toes.

One game I didn't draw any removal, and lost to a Godhead of Awe. :|
The next game, he played Spectral Procession. Next turn Ajani, and ended up killing the Angel with a mass of 4/4 flying tokens. No Wrath to be found on my side (though I thoughseized one of his own earlier on).

In the other games, I either successfully stalled with Finks (A++) or Wrath until Angel came out to play, or just ended up taking Prowler, Drifter, and Finks to the house for the win after Shriekmaw and Mannequin took care of their defenses.

I'm thinking about adding a Raven's Crime and maybe River Kelpie in case games go long. Which would help win a card advantage battle late game...

Cool idea. It isht a fun deck to play.

Raven's Crime is a lot better than Thoughtseize in this deck in my opinion, it's more of a combo piece then a control piece though it can be used for both.

Daphnia

Yes yes yes.

I now have

4 Shriekmaw
4 Connoisseur
4 Mulldrifter
4 Finks
4 Looter
1 Angel

4 Wrath
4 Stone
4 Mannequin
3 Raven's Crime

Though I realized Vanquisher or anything with deathtouch would kill the angel right quick. Which might become a problem. Vanquisher, especially. Though, Maw and Finks are probably enough to deal with it.
