while these are all mostly great, essential albums, it's hard not to be annoyed by how pretentious this chart is lol
mostly i just hate the dumb terminology they've chosen. associating something as badass as The Jesus Lizard or Boris with Pitchfork?

i dunno, i don't really consider them similar enough to take one over the other, personally. i do like RATM's debut album a lot, though. or at least like 3/4 of it.

they r simil;ar I think because they both have the same funk/punk/hip hop influences, were popular in the early 90s, and from the same "scene" in Los Angeles /.. except to me RHCP is like the Cities 97 "acoustic sunset" drivin home from work in your SUV version

Pitchfork-core was a joke. There's a lot of things that pitchfork hates on there like The Mars Volta.

Fungus Amongus/S.C.I.E.N.C.E.-era Incubus is better than both RHCP and Rage.

I'm okay with this
i only listen to electronic-era radiohead, not the guitar driven radiohead.
amnesiac is a b-side "album"
etc. etc.
i prefer their later material over their earlier, and i prefer The Bends over Pablo Honey as far as "alternative rock Radiohead" goes, before they started getting proggy
but yeah my favorite is In Rainbows

I know I was joking there aren't any good radio head albums lmao
You guys are doing it wrong. We should be recommending entry level albums to Nyerp since he doesn't listen to much music.
So yeah stuff like:
Radiohead - The Bends
Weezer - Pinkerton
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica
etc.

I would suggest Good News For People Who Love Bad News over The Moon And Antarctica, and The Blue Album over Pinkerton, as far as being "entry-level" goes.
