man I remember playing super smash bros. melee for hours in like 7th grade
IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE GAY.
I remember that they were not true cubes. And my first one broke down.
I remember I only had two games for it.
I remember Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine :(
As well as endless Melee battles with friends :(
I only remember playing a handful of great games on it, or and I remember how my friend gushed over the Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker and then when I played it I found it incredibly boring.
I never had one until I got the Revolution.
wind waker and sunshine
cjlubdoods;
I don't just remember Gamecube...I still play it all the time. Wind Waker, Melee, Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, RE4, Ikaruga, Metroid Prime, Prime 2, Rogue Leader, Tales of Symphonia...
and many more of course
but yeah it was a great console and still loads of fun to play
it was more fun than my wii has been :\
did you all sell your gamecube games or something
everyone speaks as if nobody plays these awesome games anymore
I still have four of them...and didn't buy any of them. >_>

um so?
metroid prime 3 may have been released on the wii but metroid prime is better and i still play it more goonish
I can't believe I used to do 100% speed runs of metroid prime.... I tried going back to play it a few months ago, and it was so hard to get used to, and it was really boring... and the music was annoying...

are you kidding me
metroid prime has one of the best soundtracks of any game ever and it is most certainly not boring baddood;
This thread makes it seem like Gamecube is really really old or something. I still play Metroid Prime and WW all the time. Just last week I tried to get to the Super Missile in Prime in just an hour, because that's all the time I had to play. Somehow my time got cut short, and I never made it so I just turned it off without saving throughout the whole playthrough.
Also this weekend I played Melee a little just so I could remember what it was like when Ganondorf was good.

wow
yeah :'(
Nonetheless, while it didn't "win" that particular generation, it was a pretty great console with lots of amazing exclusives and a good controller that actually didn't give you blisters, as opposed to its predecessor. :]
I miss playing Wind Waker. :( I actually still have the disc, along with Tales of Symphonia and F-Zero GX. I need to find one for 40 bucks or something. befuddlement
I traded mine in almost a year ago.

I second that. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was played more than my Wii was.
I've recently been playing Super Smash Bros. Melee with friends on nearly a daily basis, but other than that I don't really use it much. I never owned many games for it.
It had way better games than the Wii.
Holy shit! I totally forgot they exist. Two years is SOO LONG!
I sold mine to get a wii.
I regret nothing.
i loved the gamecube <3
It's still much more fun than my wii.

I gave mine to my brothers. But then again they mostly play the Wii. They just use it to play games in their room.

you better have kept the games at least, you faggot
I rarely use mine anymore since Wii plays all GCN games. I moved the Gamecube from my room to my house's family room some time ago so that my sister can it sometimes.
And also because my Wii corrupted my main memory card (simply googling "Wii 1019 memory card" will bring pages about memory card corruption).
Gamecube is the system I have played the most games on and probably also the one I played the most time-wise. And the system that houses lots of my favorite games like Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Wind Waker, Pikmin 2, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life

Luigi's Mansion
that game kicked so much ass while it lasted
it's a shame that it's so short
