""devourer""" of gods devoured, 2 attempts

and it only took that many because i got greedy three hits before the fight would have been finished during my first attempt, resulting in me getting sprayed with a torrent of arrows
How did you like going back to an old area again? goowan;

I both hate and love AL's inclusion in this game

>enter the first jail cell to the left in irythyll dungeon
>lord knows what-the-fuck; SHRIEKS in my ear

That's enough Dark Souls for tonight.
but seriously this place is absolutely terrifying

there are far too many unexplained noises

Am I supposed to feel like I'm being followed by some unknown entity? smithicide;

Samus Aran

irithyll dungeon is one of the best parts of the game imo

Would be nice if Yuria didn't spoil it before you have a chance to discover it for yourself. goodjob;

i basically feel the same way lol

it's cheap, blatant fanservice, but exiting irithyll into that all too familiar elevator and recognizing where i was did put a smile on my face, i'll admit

on the other hand, considering it's just a tiny, largely unmodified sliver of an area i learned like the back of my hand in ds1, it's the weakest part of irithyll (minus the dungeons)

but i guess irithyll itself serves as the expansion to anor londo

its inclusion did reinforce the fact that i don't understand dark souls geography at all
lol

my own apprehension stifles my ability to enjoy the dungeons, but we'll see if and by how much that changes by the time i've completed it

TooB

I still think that it isn't the same AL, based on a few things that I won't get into here

what does this even mean

it's the same anor londo but everything around the main cathedral has changed drastically

anyway irithyll dungeon is good until you get to the bottom floor of the main jail where it turns into trash

what it means, is I don't believe that it is the same exact place.

In a game whose story is not conveyed very well at all, this is something I out together. Whether you agree or not, is fine either way. It's just my thoughts on the world.

Kalahari Inkantation
yhorm down (2 attempts)

only because i entered his room before freeing seigwand lol

god bless seigwand

i took a single hit during that second fight
Kalahari Inkantation
there goes the dancer

two attempts, once again because i got greedy five seconds before the fight would have ended

the second time i didn't take more than a single swig of estus lol

favorite fight so far

...gracious

That fight is actually my favorite in the whole game.

Samus Aran

yeah dancer is at least one of the best for sure

Kalahari Inkantation

fromsoft just did a phenomenal job establishing an immersive atmosphere for that fight, between the sound direction (boss heels clicking in tempo with music), the visual effects (cathedral interior engulfed in flames upon being struck by boss weapons, the ethereal veil physics), the great intro, the uncanny serpentine gracefulness of the boss, it just all comes together to create a really fantastic end product

the dancer fight isn't my absolute favorite because the strategy itself is pretty basic (artorias remains the best souls boss ever), but as an overall package i think the dancer battle is the most memorable in any souls game thus far

a+

Samus Aran

i mean the strategy for artorias is extremely basic too tbh
