some of my difficulty with demon's souls might honestly have just been due to lack of experience because i never really felt the need to cheat in a souls game after that[/spoiler]

so it's not just experience, then, demon's souls is legitimately the hardest

i doubt bloodborne will be close to as difficult as demon's souls, especially because some of its challenge is not just because of enemy difficulty but also because of poor or unfair game design decisions that were recalibrated in subsequent souls games

umm... playing offensively takes some getting used to, but other than dying to some (admittedly hard) normal enemies, the 2 bosses I fought so far, I beat them on my first try.

but maybe that's because the game is more fast-paced in it's combat than Souls, and I play quite a few action games. it's still calculated combat like souls, but faster, and less shield-y.

I'd say as far as normal encounters go, it's harder than DS2, maybe on par with DS1 and Demon's, and as soon as I find a boss that fucks me up, I'll let you know.

I haven't yet, you need to give up some echoes and two of something else to do one I think.
