i certainly hope not, but they've proven to be such a resounding success that nintendo would be crazy to abandon them

in fact i think kimmy even said to expect further amiibo integration in the next gen

yeah considering amiibos are keeping nintendo afloat at this point it'd be fuckin' mad to dump them completely. i wouldn't be surprised if they come up with AMIIBO 2.0 and reshit out the entire collection again, but hopefully that won't be the case.

Mario series: Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Boo, DK, Diddy

The existence of new Mario amiibo probably implies they actually do have plans for another Mario game of some sort this year. Or it might just be for Paper Mario.
