I know two guys in the band in the first link- well one of them got out of it because of personal reasons.  I thought they were decent...I guess.  At least it's not some xxxcore shit.  Uhh, sounds more like Pop music I guess?

I know the guy rapping in the second video and lol I recognize a few people in that party.  Most casual shit ever lol, but I really love the lyrics, "I'm strokin', as if I got a paddle in the ocean."  Guy talks with nasal a lot lol.

This guy...I really like only one of his songs- but then again I've only listened to like two of them.

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

Aleauchatistas are kind of from Asheville but idk if that's a true statement. from wiki

QuoteAhleuchatistas are an American instrumental math rock[1][2] duo that mix influences of jazz, progressive rock, avant-garde, and experimental[3] to create a unique sound. The band was formed in Asheville, North Carolina in November 2002.

i guess it is. i saw them a few years ago when they played the all points west festival here and their sound was more "jam band" and unorganized. their newer stuff fits the description in the wiki

I feel like Popsi would like this, maybe kaz

There are also a few labels here. Headway is the one that's releasing the more "interesting" music (though most of it is bullshit  ambient music). Villages has gotten the most attention out of all of the bands on the roster.

(falls in line with Ambient, Drone-y stuff)

That's a Thing is also an Asheville band (with a terrible fucking name). Despite havving the worst name ever going against them, they actually churn out some really rad noisey post punk stuff.
