so that's why it's so huge
QuoteXbox One is designed to be always-on for 10 years
Not only did they want always-online, but also always-on?

Without knowing much about any of the other parts, I seriously doubt they expect a magnetic HDD to reliably last 10 years of constant operation. They didn't even bother to make it removable, right?
QuoteAMD's Jaguar CPU architecture is also highly energy efficient - it's designed with tablets in mind
This is better proof than any that tablets are replacing console gaming: a new console is using a CPU designed for tablets girl;

that's the biggest mind boggler in this lol

for all those people who have praised microsoft for being more 'forward-thinking' than sony [especially when the xbone actually had a different envisioning of how games should be sold and how drm should be handled], using non-replaceable, cheap hdds is very contrary to that n_u

don't let's

Well even the wii had always on with that low power state, or whatever it was. They were probably aiming for something similar.

don't let's

So they're sticking with $60 for Gold? I kinda half expected them to jack that up considering only needing one Gold account per console now.
