Hi Trainers!

In Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, you can visit the Global Trade Station to trade Pokémon over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with people from all over the world. You can post a Pokémon that you're willing to trade, or search through the list of Pokémon offered by other Trainers.

This is a very cool feature of the game, but please do not negotiate trades at the Nintendo NSider Forums. The reason for this is that you need to exchange Friend Codes with people to set up specific trades, which isn't allowed in this community.

It's possible to trade without the use of Friend Codes, but these trades are open to everyone on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. So, if you're looking for a specific Pokémon you can just use the in-game interface to broker your trade.

If there were a way for you to set up a one-on-one trade with another NSider without the use of Friend Codes, we'd allow them to be discussed here. For example, we allow Pokémon Mystery Dungeon passwords to be exchanged.

We realize that you can agree on a trade here and offer up your Pokémon, but there is no guarantee that the person you agreed to trade with will get your Pokémon in the GTS. Because of that, we don't want this board to be used to search for and offer trades.
