things you think would be kickass to do if you actually had the ambition to try

yeah i definitely need a midi keyboard if i'm gonna be doing this a lot, because using in-app typing keyboards (as in, using the computer keyboard as a musical keyboard) can get confusing really fast. hard to keep track of keys sometimes.

i am actually using famitracker right now, i decided to try it out and i'm actually getting somewhere with it. i'm pretty much doing a complete note-for-note reproduction of Kraid's theme from the NES Metroid in order to grasp the basics of famitracker. it's going pretty smoothly.

Cool!
Keep me updated, if you want.

I guess being proficient at an instrument might be nice, but I hate practicing.
Find something you actually enjoy playing then.

it'd be pretty kick ass if I actually tried to learn how to play banjo

Most of the folk stringed instruments are going to set you back quite a bit funds-wise if you want anything decent.

A decent starter's banjo is going to run around $300-$500.

Gold tone has some pretty solid offerings for open back (traditional sounding as opposed to resonators which are more bluegrassy) banjos.

I'm sure your local music store would offer rentals. You could give it a shot for a month and see if you get anywhere for little money.

I have a full-size midi-compatible keyboard at 5 full octaves (6 Cs) and like 3 feet long, but perhaps if I get interest in that sort of thing one of those smaller ones would be more convenient to use befuddlement

Wow, cool dad... again, I wouldn't advocate anyone ever try PCP, it's popularly associated with bouts of intense violence, screaming, and total nightmarish dissociation.  n_u
He said he had to have my mom console him, so I believe you.

If you have the desk space, the bigger ones are obviously better. Having to jump octaves with a button is a pain in the ass and basically restricts you to simple phrases/chords.

When I sample onto my MPC, though, it's great having something really tiny to be able to bang a quick chord or two out on without having to lug my shitty q49 out.

This thing actually looks really nice but it still looks like it would have a considerable footprint.

The screen recorder seems to have altered the pitch just slightly. It's probably not noticeable really but it still irks me. It's still basically spot-on, though, so whatever. It also glitched the ending somehow. Whatever. Just wanted to get this up for now.

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

I would be kick ass at acting. But I have to do a few things first.

I've been out of practice for a while. also I would have to work on hiding my accent.

plus there are a few books I would like to read before I take acting seriously.

also, I would have to cut my hair and shit.
