I want to make sure there is a large number of PS3 games which interest me before I make the plunge.

Suggest to me games.

also i would suggest Valkyria Chronicles since it's amazing but i know popsi has an unreasonable automatic bias against rpgs so never mind that one

LittleBigPlanet 2 [it's really not worth getting the first any longer]
God of War III [plus the HD collection if you haven't played those yet]

Resistance [it's not bad, the first two can be dull sometimes though, the third one is supposedly much better]

Ratchet and Clank 4 and LBP2 come with it, btw, so I'll have those anyway.

And MGS4 would be a silly thing to get since I haven't played 2 or 3.
