man, how many times have we done this thread?

the best game OST ever is Donkey Kong Country 2's...second is Metroid Prime's. other contenders are the first few Mega Man games, FFVI, and FFVII (don't care how cliche that sounds)

but some of my favorite video game songs are actually on games that don't overall have amazing soundtracks...like Bloody Tears, from Castlevania II.

Any David Wise is kick ass (adding Battletoads and Star Fox Adventures to the first two DKCs).

Just for the sake of mentioning something not already said, Resident Evil 4 has mostly good stuff considering the atmosphere of the game (some freaky shit even when there's nothing but you walking down the hallway).

The Ace Attorney series has some good stuff, too.
