+6 Defense

I needed to level up my Ponyta for the 7th Gym and so I gave her a exp. Share and went to Iron Island.

Eventually when she leveled up she got +6 defense.  Is that a result of EV points?


Also, when is it too late to give up on EV training your pogeymons?

I didn't know about it until My Empeleon was level 38.

dunno. when i lvled blissey i got +11 HP before.

Yeah, it was. You can always give your pokemon EV erasing berries. Even if it's a lvl 100 pokemon, and it has full EVs. You erase all of them, go EV train, put it in the box, and withdraw. You got you an EV trained pokemon. The growing of the berries does take FOREVER though...

If it's a level 100 pokemon it won't level up though, that means you won't get the stats, right?

Yes, that is the EVs workin'.

You can erase and start new EVs with special berries.

Chansey and Blissey are naturally supposed to gain that much HP...I suggest you fight Gastrodons for more HP EV's...
