Personally I hated the idea of bikes when I first heard about them. But damn they're so much more fun than karts.  :|

Bikes. You can go faster with wheelies, they turn better and generally don't stop the second you hit a wall like with karts. I was going to use karts when I got the game but then I said fuck this, bikes are 20 times better. :|
