guitar F chord

I play guitar, who else does. I cant  barre the F chord if i tried is there another way to do it? and what about the B chord?

I've never been able to do them either. The diagrams I have show that for both chords one finger has to be used across the entire fretboard for one of the frets, and the others are other fingers.
