I just noticed that people on eBay are paying about $400 for completely unlocked 4gb iPhones. This is a pretty simple thing to do, and definitely something I could do to my little 4gb. I'm interested in selling it because I'd like to get a 16gb, or at least 8gb. Four is just way too little for the stuff I'd like to put on there.... I pretty much can have either a couple movies, or my good playlists.

Actually, here's a plan: Unlock my 4gb, sell it for about $375 (that's a modest estimate), get a 8gb, unlock that and sell it for the average going price of $500, then buy a 16gb. That way I only end up losing $25-50.  caterpie;
