I thought he was actually a star, because the commercial for one of the Stafy games shows him in the clouds, and then he falls from the clouds into the ocean and I guess that's why he's down there.

But then I remembered that all the games are marine platformers and all of his friends are apparently marine animals so I'm really not sure.

Star or starfish, he's adorable either way and his games are cool.
