it can be. weird difficulty spikes. the game promotes a small amount of level grinding every now and then, made easier by auto-winning (if you're strong enough to beat a foe in one turn, you don't even go to a battle screen, you just win right there on the field and get experience)

its not even that I had to grind. The part I was stuck at was just unreasonably a huge jump in difficulty. even the boss of that area was nothing compared to the enemies. then after that part, I never had trouble again.
