my Super Game Boy and Mario Land arrived today, so I'm currently using the former to play the latter

i always wanted a Super Game Boy as a kid but just never got one. these things are so handy. if only Game Boy Players were this dirt cheap.

every boss battle in nmh1 is preceded by some introduction and background information

in nmh2, you just get some vague details after you kill them. their story doesn't matter.

Ok, I didnt want to start some pointless argument about whether or not NMH is a good game or not.
I dont even really like the 2nd one, it just did some things better to me.
I dont like NMH so lets just leave it at that.

I know its not as smooth or good as SMB, but I still like it

it's a good game. yeah, the jumping physics are a bit wonky, as is the way mario controls in general i guess, compared to super mario bros. at least. but it's certainly still quite good.
