Persona 3 is probably my favorite Persona game I've played. Persona 1 was really good too, but I like the combat more in P3

i have to resort to using death (the spell, lol) to kill them

vanille's summon to knock it down, then add as many debuffs as you can to it (to multiply death's chances of success), and then just keep throwing death at it and hope that it eventually works.

overall, seems to kill it about 1/3 of the time. quite a high success rate.
