How important are/were school grades to you?

I can't seem to get myself to care about homework grades no matter how much I try to edumacate;

but.... I do care about test grades. I hate myself if I don't get the best grade out of the class in tests (that's not much of a goal, since my class is full of idiots who amazingly made it into honors classes). I still never study for tests, not like that ever would help me caterpie;

I care very, very much about my grades. I almost got a heart attack when I got a 75 in English last year, and I promised to myself that, from then on, I would NEVER get a grade that low again.
