no, there's a feature to not display them for just you. just use that if they bother you. let people have their signatures.

Well there's not really that much content underneath the avatar, so it doesn't seem worth it  to me.
Perhaps instead of an ignore icon, maybe just have the text "Ignore this user" next to the "Report to moderator" link if possible?
