that's cool how come?

a few reasons

one my wife has live in dc literally her entire life, and one of the only reasons she's been here this long was her mom. now that her mom's passed we kinda have free reign to go wherever

two, some good friends of my wife and I moved there about 10 months ago now, and it would be cool to live nearby them

three, we've been considering it for a while. every time we've visited its been a swell time with lots of 'i could see myself living here"s

four, cost of living is like almost literally half of what it is here in dc. like i'm paying damn near 2 grand for a 1 bedroom, 500something sq ft apartment here. in philly there's some (albeit not like super nice, but certainly livable) 3 bedroom fucking houses with a yard and shit i could rent for the same price.

granted what remains to be seen is if my wife and I's income level would remain about the same if we moved. i think i would be fine (i might even be able to keep my current job remotely, but i'm also not sure if i would want to lol), but i think my wife is in for a shock in her line of work for how much her income might drop.

idk we still have shit to work through/think about lol, but my wife seems deader set on it every day. i think at the very least we probably arent going to live in dc for more than a year or so at this point regardless of what we do.

YPrrrr

Well Pennsylvania kinda sucks and is backwards af but I guess Philly is supposed to be cool. Just don't get murdered and you'll be alright
