i've got no idea if they were all that "influential" or not, he could be right. either way i like their old stuff

The Touch Me I'm Sick single was basically the first grunge song and had a ton of local Seattle influence, but beyond that, a lot of their influence may have just been right place/right time. IIRC their chapter in Our Band Could Be Your Life was really more about the pre-grunge Seattle scene, and it was almost as much about the Meat Puppets as Mudhoney.

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

reading this thread kind of inspired me to look for shows coming up.

Kero Kero Bonito is playing soon. I can't say I'm a fan but I've heard Popsi mention them a bunch so I might go to that.

Nitzer Ebb is playing in September. I bought one of their cd's from a Pawn Shop in eastern NC when I was like 16. I want to go but it's so far in advance idk if I'll go.

There's also the Pickathon festival that has a lineup that I'm interested in this year.

I've never been to an outdoor music festival and I might as well go while they're still a thing.

Don't gamble on KKB. You could easily hate them. Check them out first
