It sounds like some kind of chinese instrument that I can't recall the name of. I hear it a lot in traditional chinese music.

that's what it reminds me of too, but it doesn't sound exactly like that

would be interesting though because i've never heard it accompanying a guitar (or any other instrument for that matter) lol
