- 'retro video game consoles'
collecting retro video games and consoles. and 2018 has been a hell of a year on that front for me, having purchased:
an atari 2600, sega master system, nec pc engine duo-r (with region lock modding), and super famicom
11 games for the 2600 (aside from the 12 or so that came with it), 5 games for the pc engine (mostly hucards, but one cd-rom as well), 3 super famicom games, 3 somewhat expensive sega saturn shmups (ranging $60-75), plenty of ps4 games, and a couple snes games (one of which was chrono trigger for like $90)
it's a really fun hobby tho, i don't regret any of my purchases this year hocuspocus;
i try to be smart about when i make these big purchases tho because ebay is sometimes pretty generous with mobile app coupons

It probably is on the pricier side. It is Nu-York after all. myface;
it's practically my only frame of reference though, i don't know whether food prices really are significantly cheaper in the rest of the country lol
anyway yesterday i spent another ~$20 on food >.<
i'd only get a gaming chair if literally every other part of my setup was where i wanted it tbh
My big spending is usually unintentional.
Like, oooh, $4 here, $2 here, $6 here, and before I know it, I spent $50 in a day.
Right now it's my home office workstation.
New preowned 24" monitor, microscope, new parts for my fiancée computer, etc
